storing quail eggs

Do the eggs need to be kept cooler than room temp if you are just going to eat them?
 
It depends on what room temp is. Above 98 & they start to incubate in a few hours but below that they last a long time.
 
Most eggs will start a slow development at 70 degrees. The embryo if stored at 70 degrees for a number of days will die as it takes higher temps to maintain growth. I would store the eggs cooler than 70 wether incubating or eating. That development could be bad either way.
