A thunder storm slammed my place today. With blind rage, mother nature pushed trees down, ripped siding from our house, flung various lawn furniture into the pasture.

My poor girls and one guy sure were muddy:

Even found a stray cow in the hayfield:

It was one of those storms that ends by continuing to rain when the sun returns:

Lots of mud:

Strange things pop up after a storm:

Turkeys come out for bug patrol:

The evening mist rises and the sun sets to a nice cool evening:

Sorry about the storm damage, but it made for some beautiful pictures.

Well that sky sure was an amazing way to end a rough weather day. I hope you and you chickens made it okay?!? Take Care, your BYC family

I know them kinda storms only too well but such beautiful scenery they leave behind.... Ty for posting the pictures.
Hope everything comes out ok with the damage and glad no one was injured or killed

Nobody was harmed during the storm. Well, these unlucky hornets will have to die so the hubby can put the siding back in place.

The only time I've seen your beautifully conditioned chickens looking somewhat unkempt.

Went past the East end of the Sourland Mts and saw the evening mist rising from them. As a kid I always looked for the source-- quite certain that the 'steam' must be volcanic in origin.
