Straight run means both pullets and roos.... of course you may get more roos then pullets!

Straight run means you get whatever hatches and the chicks are not sexed. Meaning you will get males and females and there's no gurantee what you will get.

Assorted genders (you have no choice on how many of how many of each you get). Its cheaper and bantams are too small to be sexed. All standards come straight run to though.

The term "straight run" is interchangeable with "as hatched". That being said, it should be roughly a 50/50 split of males and females, but rarely ends up that way.

The standard hatch ratio is commonly accepted as being 50:50 male to female. As the others have said (well a few), you get a roughly equal proportion of males to females when they hatch as "straight run."
