Hello all,my name is kailey.iv come to this forum for advice. i am concerned for this goose that has been in the same spot alone for a month. This goose has been by its self in the parking lot of a movie theater on a little island of grass.I dont know much about geese but i dont think its normal for them to stay in one spot for a month .I keep going by the spot to see if he got away but he is still there laying down eating grass.Im concerned for this poor guy and was wondering if anyone here knew what to do,or who to call.im concerned he is injured because every time i go by him hes in the same 20 foot area.he is only a half a block from a very busy road and im worried hes not getting the right food and water....it has been raining for a few days ...i feel so bad for him.Any way,any advice or input? the location of this goose is Madison heights, Michigan.

They are back at the shopping mall here. Every year they come make a nest on one of those little islands of grass. They will leave again once their eggs hatch or they give up. I dont know what makes them think those islands are safe.

Yes, you can try Wildlife Rehabilitation, Animal Control, or your local Fish and Game Department.
Either one of those can help you.

Good luck, and thank you for caring.
