Strange behavior help please....

My 3 yr Cochin hen is turning to the left in circles. She does this constantly turning...turning....what is wrong with her?:

This is not egg bound behavior, she is laying a yolk with a thin exterior shell each day so that is coming out of her.
She is eatting/drinking water but she keeps turning in a circle. I have isolated her from the other hens.

Please someone help me.

I really haven't had experience with this but hated that no one knew so... looking in "The Chicken Health Handbook" I saw that it could be a bacterial disease called listeriosis also known as the "circling disease" It is rare though. It causes the bird to walk in circles maybe have a twisted neck, diarrhea, gradual weight loss. If I were you I'd post more about her on the emergencies thread. You're sure to find someone there who has heard of it or PM someone like threehorses.

It's neurologic (in her brain.) Could be trauma, bacterial, viral, parasitic, tumor, etc. I'd keep her isolated for sure. Let us know how things turn out. Good luck.
