I had a little one winged duck, her name was Talli, and she ruled with an iron feather! She did head bob chattering year round if anyone even looked at her sideways. I thought it was just because she was head duck, and she never wanted anyone to forget it! She was taken by a fox last year, we still miss her very much.
Another little one I had that we lost a few months ago also did it a lot. I thought it was just her way of asserting herself - no one really listened, but she would always do it like, 'hey Im walkin here' kinda thing. I only see it now at feeding time really, the drake (Wist) wades in and says, 'make way for my favourite, everyone move for Varia!' and the other two big girls do it like they are a bit jealous.
Then, my big Australorp hen Shiela, beats up anyone who looks like they might get more food than her. Circle of life!
