Hi everyone,
Just observed our White Leghorn this afternoon, with what looked like a scabby thing on it's beak, where the beak meets the head. It was dark brown in colour. When we tried to catch her, she must have bumped it in the process and most of it came off. What remained was a section that was slightly raised, and like skin that was bleeding....at first I thought it could have been a tick, but it didn't look like it.....It kind of looked like a wart type growth.....
Not sure what to make of it....
She is the dominant one in the bunch and challenges the others often....so I'm wondering whether she has gotten scratched by one of the others or something?
I didn't have my camera with me when we got her finally...can't find anything online that shows similar to what it is....
Anyone have any idea?
We dabbed it with a wet tissue, and then dried it off....it seemed to stop bleeding then....
Is there something I can use from home as a home remedy to stop bleeding like that naturally?
