Hi,

My Phoenix bantam has been exhibiting some weird behaviour over the past week. I’ve taken her to a vet and they’ve drained her crop, since there was a lot of fluid in there and she was sneezing/coughing.

It’s been three days since the drain and her crop has filled up and she is doing the same behaviour again.

I can’t figure out how to put in the video.

Here is how to treat it yourself:

But sometimes the cause is situated further down, like a tumor pessuring on the intestines, liver disorders or similar.

When did she last lay an egg?

Has she ever had problems building a proper eggshell?

You can upload the video to YouT*be or a similar platform and then post a link here.

How old is she?

Thanks for the reply,

My hen is 7 seven years old and she hasn’t laid an egg in months I believe since it’s winter where I am. Out of all of my hens she’s never had any egg problems. The vet did an X-ray on her last week and she didn’t feel like she was carrying an egg.
