Strange Chicken Mating

This might sound weird or if there is another thread on this I apologize, BUT my husband and myself have 5 hens and one rooster, when the rooster decides it is mating time , he will do the dance and our hens will fall on their backs and he mounts them, does his business and moves on. I have looked around the internet and some forums and have not seen this behavior listed. I am wondering if this is normal or if we just have strange chickens. Thank You

On their backs!?!?! Hens usually squat for their roosters, not roll over!

LMAO That is the STRANGEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!! Can you post a pic? or would that be weird? haha Usually my hens will squat and stomp their feet.

I'm going to have my husband take a picture or record it when its not dark in their coop . I was raised on a farm and have never seen this before either
