Strange color on a peahen........

Is the hen a white eye? Is the rest of the body IB or could it be a Opal peahen? Opals have a more blue/gray color, but would cover the whole hen. Does it have any white? Picture would help.

One way to tell- if you noticed her tail feathers(the real ones, not the back feathers that go over the tail) were black, it probably was a white-eye. They look same as IB except for the body being silvery gray, with or without random white feathers, so their tails are black, and same green color on necks. Opal is similar to lavender/self blue in the sense the whole color is changed, everywhere. Tail is "lavender"(light to medium gray) also. I also would describe opal as being a pastel color- "soft".

I wish I had been able to take a picture........ next time I go I'll try to take one. She looked just like a IB, just her back was the Gray/Blue color, that I noticed. I'll check the tail next time if she gets close enough. She was real close because he had caught up her chicks and she was mad....... : ) ( Her chicks looked like IB but one had a whiter throat, and their backs were a few shades lighter than average.)

Shade can be little different from one hen to other....mine you can even see a few white feathers on her back. Thing about white eyes even with the male can be a big differents some male will have alot of w.e. others only a few.
