RiR's usually, as most of you know, lays dark tan eggs.
Today she laid a light super light almost white - cream colored - egg.

Any thoughts on this?

Both my New Hampshire Red's and my Light Brahma's eggs vary in color a great deal. Sometimes they're a deep, golden tan and other times they can be almost peachy white. Sometimes they have spots on them and sometimes there are no spots at all. If you search for threads about egg color on this site you'll find explanations about how the egg travels along its path and why this affects the coloration.

Mostly I just think it's fun to see how the eggs will look today.

Yeah I've read those. But the thing is, for the last year she's been very consistent about color until today. Wondering if this tells of any possible problems or underlying issues. She's eating her lay pellet and scratch fine. I dont detect any odd behavior beyond the standard strangeness that they are.

Is it hot where you are? It was 106 here today and I've heard that the heat can cause a change in egg color, bleaching them out.
