Yes, they always lay the same color egg; this is somewhat baffling that she'd lay green and then a "lavendar" one, although I know that they can appear to be different colors based on the shell thickness; i.e., I have Marans, and occasionally get a thin-shelled egg that is MUCH lighter than the usual ones.
That being said, the color can fade...I have an EE that, when she was a first-year layer, laid VERY green eggs. Now she's 3, and you have to put her egg up against a white one to see that it's very lightly tinted green.
