I never knew that silver duckwing over barred rock could make such a thing. Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate the answers!
You're very welcome! If you decide to hatch more from this cross, you should be able to tell which chicks are male when they hatch. The boys will have a white spot on top of the head which indicates that they will have barring. They are a type of black sex link.

For some great information on sex linked crosses, check out the first post of this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/261208/sex-linked-information

When I first saw these I thought Birchen. Is that something else?
I agree they look very similar to birchen, but I think the actual pattern is different. This color is common when mixing black and silver birds, I've had several sex link pullets look like this using a silver based rooster instead of a red based rooster.

Silver Duckwing over Barred will give you Sex-links, the 2 birds in the picture are hens, any Barred offspring's are roosters.

Also the color of the 2 pictured hens looks to be birchen, most likely do to the Sire not being pure Silver Duckwing.

I'm not sure of the exact pedigree of most of my foundation flock birds. They came from the feed store :)

But I think they may be a silver/gold duckwing mix. Do those colors produce sex-links also? Because every silver I've gotten from them are males and all reds are hens.
