Strange crosses

I managed to cross a Golden Phoenix rooster with another Cross, a roundhead and claret gamehen cross. Thing is the hen looks like a golden Phoenix hen and the room looks more like a black breasted red Phoenix rather than the parents.

Your Golden Phoenix was heterozygous for the silver allele. If he was homozygous then he would have been Silver Phoenix. Therefore each offspring had 50% chance of getting a silver allele. If you has only a few chicks, then odds pretty good that none got a copy of the silver allele.

A Silver Phoenix would produce only golden male offspring and silver female offspring. The silver allele is on the W - male chromosome which males have two copies and females have only one.
