Hello, so the first two chickens we got were both Isa Browns, we soon added more to the Flock but this thread is in regards to the first two girls. They were both always together, free ranging, sleeping ect.. the best of friends it seemed. One day I'm informed that one of them has suddenly died, flapped her wings, fell back on her back an died, her friend, the other Isa brown next to her to witness. The very next day, the witnessing chicken ends up getting hit by a car and killed, the road is far away from where they normally would roam. I have read chickens are very empathic and can be emotional critters, yes even the factory farm Isa brown that people don't tend to think much of sometimes, is it possible a chicken can kill itself?
