Strange, dying chicken noises and flapping?

My dominate hen, a Golden Star, also jumps up on high objects and tries to crow. Sounds awful and I usually yell at her to stop and she does.

Oh! Well I've definitely seen that, just not heard any noise...of course, I'm hearing impaired lol, so I'll have to ask the kids if they've heard any dying hens out there :D

I have a hen who also does this! The first time I saw it she was close to my pen of new babies, I thought this was making her do it....she does it once or twice a week now even when not around the babies! I have a video of it, its wild looking for sure! How do I post video in a reply??

Obviously your chicken is insane, in the throws of mental illness, poor thing.

hahahahaha ...well for my self, being in a highly human popuulated city, that has some how also gained a huge chicken and rooster population, I can say that yes, without a doubt, your hen is mentally ill... LOL ...im just kidding there. BUT seriously though, what you have described as occurring is definitely in my opinion a normal chicken/hen behavior. the reason for why I say it is most likely normal, is because almost daily, i have witnessed that same behavior as occurring with in all of the groups of my new Urban Feathered Neighbors as well. -lol funny term that Microsoft copilot let me in on...Which, I'm giving props deserved, it was definitely a funny thing to hear at the time. Like I said, I live in a very populated city, so unfortunately, the birds have a hard time knowing that the streetlights are not the Sun light. So, because of this, I've had the chance to hear musical birds at all sorts of hours.
