Strange egg! Is it ok?

Our flock is 21 weeks old and are just coming into laying. Came home to this egg...what happened? Is it ok to eat? All the other eggs are great and normal. Thanks for your help! It’s 100% solid even though it might look to be soft in the photo.

New layers can give you all sorts of weird eggs until they get the kinks all worked out. I wouldn't worry unless it keeps happening. :)
Well said. Once my barnevelder laid an egg the size of a...finch egg! She usually lays gigantic ones, but of course, she laid the small one when she started laying.
