Our easter egger has been laying normal beautiful eggs since she first started at the age of 7mo (in December '18). But in the last few weeks, things have changed a bit. Once or twice her shells were very thin and she was only laying every few days. Now she seems to be back to a normal schedule, laying an egg every day or so, but there is this powdery "crust" on them. It rubs off with a little effort, but its strange. None of our other chickens eggs are having the same issue. The easter egger hen seems completely normal. Nothing out of sorts; she's out free ranging, eating, drinking...totally normal behavior. Wondering if anyone has ever seen there eggs do this. is there something missing from her diet perhaps. She gets layer crumble, fruits, veggies, sometimes cracked corn and black sunflower seeds, and whatever she scratches for in the yard. Any ideas or suggestions??

Looks like calcium deposits to me. Could be that she's eating excess calcium, or it could be that she got spooked during the egg-forming process. Could be a defect in her egg production system. Those are things I've heard before as causes of calcium deposits. But someone more experienced might know more.
