Strange growth below hen's vent

It may be a hernia. Here is a post on another site with a hen with a hernia.

I'm not sure what that could be, maybe a hernia, scabbing from an old injury/wound, etc.
If it's been like that for 2 years, nothing has changed then I would leave it alone and let is remain a "mystery".

I agree. I'm not really concerned about her, I don't plan to do anything with it unless it starts to get worse or something. I'd just like to have an idea of what it may be
