strange looking egg!!!

hello all . my hen has been laying normal size eggs but on the very tip of the egg it looks funny like the shell is pinched and scrunched up rather than smooth and oval. does anyone know what might cause this?? is this something normal?? thanks

Probably had a hard time laying it! I notice this on some of the new laying hens.

Today was the first time all 10 of my Delawares presented me with an egg. One of the hens went all out!!!

This monster egg weighs in excess of 6 ounces. The shell is cracked and has been pecked on one end. Otherwise it would probably find its way into my incubator. I candled it and can see that it is not an egg within an egg. I'm not sure how many yolks it might have, I'll find that out tomorrow at breakfast.

I looked over the hens after collecting the eggs and none of them shows anything out of the ordinary.

Sometimes worms can cause wrinkly eggs, but more often than not it's just a flaw in the shell.

I get get a couple of the ones with the crinkly end every couple of days. I think they are coming from my 2year olds
