Strange looking egg

Any idea what would cause an egg to look like this? Something I should be doing differently?

I have not had any that look exactly like your egg is but I have had a few strange looking ones lately. Kinda long and skinny approximately the same color as yours. I really don't know what the deal is with them, but I don't necessarily think that there is anything that you are doing wrong or anything that you can do differently. I would just make sure that your hens have extra calcuim but I think it is just a fluke and the egg got mishapen during the forming of it.

If it is from a pullet under the age of 11 months old, it's perfectly normal. This can happen, among other oddities. They're just getting into their cycle.
