Strange mating behavior

I got a new Roo a couple of months ago, after some squabbling things have settled down. I've observed some strange behavior, when my Roo is mating with other chickens, my RIR runs over to the chicken he's mating and looks like she may be pecking her too.

Is this normal?

I'm not 100% sure of the behavior with chickens like that...but I know with my male ducks that if one is mating with a female, my other males will gather around and/or try to mate with the female... It's probably just weird mating behavior...Hope that helped
