@Ravynscroft , is right on the money. Some hens do this periodically during an egg laying cycle, and some do not. This is why commercially produced eggs are candled prior to sale. 'Meat spot' eggs are designated for baking use. Welcome to BYC.
 
You mean that "gunk" could wind up in eggs meant for baking cakes or cookies. :sick That's the best way to keep me from eating junk foods.:th
Think of it as extra protien:drool:lau or a combo egg (meat/egg)
