Strange noise coming from my hen...?

I was cleaning the coop the other day and I heard what sounded like a dog squeak toy just outside the run. When I looked, it was coming from one of my girls and it kinda looked like she sneezed. It doesn't happen (that I hear) every day, but now it seems like she can make the noise by choice. Any ideas? Should I be worried?

Sounds like a sneeze. I would not worry yet, but check her out. Is there any badal discharge? Any eye bubbles? Open mouth breathing? Any wrinkled egg shells?

I have not noticed any of this, so maybe she is ok?

Sometimes chickens sneeze after eating or drinking too quickly.
It does sounds like a squeaky toy!

I've heard that sound from some of mine too. Usually after I've thrown out some scratch and they're all trying to eat as much as they can as fast as they can.

My Cuckoo Marans sneezes a lot and makes a high pitched squeak. Her nasal area is a little more bulgy than the other breeds so that could be why. But she's been fine otherwise!
