strange noise pullet "honking"

Tonight I noticed one of my pullets was making a honking goose like sound instead of little chirps like the rest of them as they were bedding down. Could she be sick? 12 weeks old.

She's probably getting her big girl voice. It's quite funny to watch the others looking at one getting their mature voice. They think she's crazy...lol.

i think it is a transition sound, all of mine have done that at about that age- does she have any symptoms that indicate there may be something going on?

I'll give her a good look tomorrow. It was dark when I discovered her making the sound. Thank you! I feel a little less stressed. It totally sounded like a "voice change" sound. Fingers crossed.

I had a grown hen do the same thing for a few days. then she stoped. now i have a young pullet doing it. dont think it is a voice change. cause the older hen did the same thing.
wonder what it could be? i remember the older hen looking a little sick and not comming out to play when she was doing it. now the pullet is doing it. but at least she is moving about. she keeps her mouth open all the time then makes the noise.
