STRANGE or FUNNY NAMES

I was reading the post from mississippifarmboy, a.k.a farmboy, a.k.a Mfarmboy, a.k.a mfb, about Dr. Gupta. It got me thinking about the strange & funny names in my own family. For example.......

Great x5 Grandpa - Adolphus Gustolphus Francis Murphree, a Duke somewhere in England
Grandma - Birdie Stone
Grandpa - Garvin Bennett
Dad - Verlon Stone

Let's have some more, eh?

Well, my DH's mother was named Frankie Marzell. My own adoptive mother was Arne Arzelia. Weird enough? Odd that their names sounded similar. My mother was 20 years older than my DH's mother and they died within two months of each other.

My step mom's birth name is Wilda. Wilda? She isn't that old, either, her late 40's. Have no idea where it came from, maybe a long lost relative, or mayber her mom lost a bet.

She is a very professional, stylish, sophisticated business women, so needles to say, she goes by Kristine. Wilda? I mean, come on.

Moms name is Velma, but I've heard that one before, so not so strange to me.
