strange peeping sounds.

I am a bit worried about my quail. especially my A&M. she keeps on peeping like something is wrong, the way that the chicks do when they are upset. I checked her over and she seems to be fine. she is still a bit on the young side, but there is nothing really to upset her. any input would be gladly accepted.

Does it sound like a croak? My female pharaoh coturnix does this croaking noise. I think its what they just do.

Do you have a good ratio of males to females? If not she could be over mated. What do they live in?

she is four weeks old and has six companions, three of whom are roos. they haven't started crowing, so I doubt that it is over mating, but maybe "she" is a male, and trying to crow? i think it is what you suggested and it is just a croak/chirp. thanks!
