I have 2 Roos, Welsummer to be exact, and they consistently hide their heads under the closest hen's butt when anyone enters into their coop. Our Alpha had been doing this for a while, and now it seems like the Omega has copied him. I know Welsummers are a more gentle breed and that was one of their bonuses.... but I'm just puzzled about their behavior.

Yes, I think your right Devora! It's gotta be a submissive issue since they won't even look me in the eye when they're roosting. The hens do thou.... maybe I flipped them upside down one too many times checking for mites and such :)
