Hi everyone,
One of my hens was acting strange so I took her inside, comb was red but she was lethargic and wouldn't leave coop.
I kept track of how often she was pooping, ended up being about twice a day and very small, with some pale yellowy bits.
I thought she was egg bound so I've been giving her baths.
It's coming onto the third day now and she seems to be better behaviourally, but still no egg and not much poop.
Gave her another bath today and she did another yellowy poop, it was easier to see in the water and it seems to look stringy? I'm wondering if it might be parasites instead? If anyone knows what it could be it would be much appreciated.

Those are yellow urates from kidney waste. This can be seen with liver problems, water belly (ascites,) reproductive disorders including egg yolk peritonitis, fatty liver disease, or cancer. Does she lay eggs or have any enlargement of her lower belly below the vent? Is her tail position up or down? You could try giving a human calcium citrate 300 mg with vitamin d now in case she is egg bound or trying to pass some lash material. How does her crop feel—empty and flat, full, firm, or squishy?
