Strange thing in nest box!!

Yesterday I found a weird little thing in the nestbox. It was a squishy little red blob right next to the eggs. I opened it up and it was moist and white with like a membrane inside. It didn't look like a deformed egg or anything it almost looked like a chicken bodypart! sorry I have no pictures! Any ideas on what it could be??

But I have seen some pretty strange things come out of chickens in photos here.

No roos, All the chickens are healthy and laying today so I don't know if its a problem??
