Hi all! This chick is feathering out so strangely. It was supposedly a prairie bluebell egger from Hoover’s. So I know since they are a mix that their coloring and things can vary, but this is the only one of the 7 feathering out with these big feathers on its legs like this. Prairie bluebell eggers, according to their website, are supposed to be a cross of white leghorn with auracana to get the blue egg. But I thought only a few breeds had feathered legs (and not those 2 I know). And these are like FANCY leg feathers lol. Any ideas??

Dark Brahma.

Thank y’all for the input! That’s good to know. I will have to research a little, I don’t know anything about that breed. I bet I just had a wrong chick somehow put in my order.
