I haven’t posted an egg picture in a while. Today was a real slow egg day. Most of the hens are starting to molt and have slowed way down on laying. Some of the spring pullets are coming into lay. So far 2 of the three pullets did get the green egg gene and lay really nice olive eggs. Still waiting on one more pullet to show me what she’s got.

Smoky took the chicks up to the high roost tonight for the first time.



I got a good picture of my new favorite pullet Misty. I really like the way she looks. Something about the bearded ladies that strikes my fancy LOL.

Me too! In all my time raising chickens I've never had bearded gals. Well I decided to fix that this year.
So I picked up 6 EE pullets about 11 or so weeks ago. I need to name them. Love the beards and they are so friendly, curious and comical!
