stray cats

I'm sure this has been asked already but I'm new to this I have 12 chickens and my fence is 5 feet high so I know a cat can clear
it, will it attack?

I put a roof on mine after a bobcat killed half my flock. I also buried the chainlink in the dirt and poured cement in it so nothing could dig under. My coop looks like a big chainlink box. Unless the predator has thumbs and a wire cutter, its not getting in!
