Stray Chicken or Rooster what do I do?

I found this chicken/rooster in my yard today. He let me get near him ,but not close enough to catch him. Its possible someone dumped him here.
How far away from my flock do I quarantine him?
How long before letting him get closer?
If I cant' get near him how do I inspect/treat for parasites?
Anything else I should be aware of?
I gave it some scratch and made sure it had access to water. Thank you!

Wait until it get's dark out then go get him. Chickens can't see in the dark so it'll be pretty easy. I would keep him separate for a couple of weeks. You could inspect him more thoroughly tomorrow and get a few more pictures.

He is a rooster, and a chicken as well. "Rooster" is the term for a male chicken, while "hen" is the term for a female chicken. Both hens and roosters are still chickens.

I don't know about roosters, but thought it may be. I'm new to the whole chicken thing, and it seems to never be a dull moment.
