Stray chicken. What do I do?, and it’s been SO hot.

Oh thank goodness you will give her a chance. Similar thing happened to me, but it was a fighting game cock that escaped a local fighting ring (that I turned in), and chose my property. He was missing 1/2 his upper beak, and looked awful. I named him Paulie Malinaggi. He was too chicken aggressive to integrate into my flock, so he lived in my barn with the horses in a 12'x12' stall, and I'd carry him around the property in my arms. I adored my little Paulie, and we shared 4 wonderful years together. (Left - if you look close you can see the 1/2 beak - which when it grew out I had to keep trimmed)

Gonna put this here too! She disappeared but I found her!!!!

That’s right! She was in my husbands shop since Friday night. I even looked in there for her but she must have been hiding (See my other post for her incredible story.) Scared the crap out of him when he saw her. No food or water either. Man, this girl is a fighter. I’m wondering if there is anyone near me who would like to take her. My chickens are real A-holes. Ive been doing the slow intro with my ducks for a few weeks now but they bully them, even my nice Buffingtons pull out their feathers. I’m just not sure she will fit in and I’ve been contemplating getting rid of my chickens and getting more ducks. Plus I’m leaving early tomorrow morning for a week long work trip. My kids are taking care of the birds while I’m gone. Anyone from southwest Michigan like a chicken with an incredible story? I live in Hamilton Mi.
