Stray Roosters

Oh, so the roosters don't have access to the hens. Hmmm. I guess it could be a factor in why they don't fight. I really don't have experience with this kind of thing. I hope you can find good homes for them if they are as gentle as they seem someone may need a good rooster. It would be a shame to have someone make them into dinner. Be careful too about people buying roosters for cockfighting. My local breeder warned me about that.

These have access to the hens, they seem like good roosters. When we got rid of our RIR we made sure he had a good home. And game roosters i know are used for cock fighting a lot, so i’ll be extra careful.

Years ago, i bred 3 beautiful cockerels, and like yours they did not have one fight.
Maybe it was the fact they were born the same time, and grew up together. They
would take their turns with the ladies too. lol It is a shame as yours are beautiful.
But if you have that fear of them, if they start fighting, then best you find a good
home for them. Like others have stated, be careful, as some take them for their table.
Also cock fighting, which is heart breaking, but you will suss out, the good and the bad
people who wants them. Your hens are also beautiful too. :frow

The two adult roosters have seemed to work it out, it would be the bantam roosters that I would worry about. I am pretty sure the two stray roosters will make mincemeat out of them. In their mind, the hens are their flock, and will probably accept the chicks, but once the chick roosters begin to grow up, I would assume the fighting to start.

If you do not want these birds, call animal control, they are not your birds, not your responsibility. It would be best if you had them contained when animal control got there. Getting them off the roost is the easiest, but a fishnet will work in a pinch.
