Larkkit padded up to Sagepaw. "Whatcha doin'?" she mewed cheerfully.

he purred and nuzzled larkkit, he smiled and pointed at DoveFeather

Leopardfur was prowling through the trees. Her bright eyes suddenly went dark. "Dogs," she hissed. Suddenly she let out a wail as sharp fangs pierced through her side. "Cat! Attack! Pack attack! Cat! Pack attack!" the leader howled, and more barking came from somewhere in the distance.

he purred and nuzzled larkkit, he smiled and pointed at DoveFeather

"Oh," she mewed, and her hopes, which had soared high, plummeted. "I guess I'll see you around, then," she added, and padded off.

Larkkit said down, wrapping her tail neatly around her small paws. "Oh, nothing's wrong, I told you the truth!" she meowed cheerfully, hiding her lost hopes.
