Skykit tossed and turned as the stars twinkled brightly in the night sky. He had the feeling something was watching them, somthing watching the whole camp. He got up, and silently padded out of the den. He trotted out of camp, and looked around. He was the shimmer of two eyes, but they disappeared quickly as he watched them. The kit followed them. He ran through the dark forest, the sounds of night like an orchestra around him. In the distance, Skykit saw a tail bend around a corner, and went full on sprint, turning, bumping into something. "Shh!!!" it whispered angrily. Skykit froze. His heart was beating very fast. The moon shone on them through the trees, and for the first time he could see the kit's face. "Wh-who are you?" he asked. "First, tell me who you are," it demanded. "I'm S-skykit," he stammered, whispering. "Brackenkit. Nice to meet you," the other kit answered. "Here, let me help you up," he whispered, and rolled Skykit over on his belly. Skykit observed the stranger's face carefully. "I better get going. See ya," the kit said, and bound off. Skykit watched in amazement. He had so many quiestions!!! He held them back.

Nightclaw sighed. He glanced at Breezeheart.

Breezeheart fell back to sleep, resting her head on his spine.

"All of them?" Leafgaze asked curiously.

Bluetail padded up to Miststar. Her face was full of concern and fear. "I can't find Skykit anywhere," she said.

Miststar looked up at her, then nodded. "We'll find him" she said, thinking.

Bluetail nodded, looking a bit sick.
