Smokeyfur looked at her, his eyes sparkling. "I was wondering if you would ever ask," he purred. "I do, but I was afraid you wouldn't," he meowed, rubbing his cheek against hers.

Snowbelly grabbed Skykit, grooming him as she spoke and curled around him. "Where were you? You had us so worried? What happened??"

"B-bramblekit," was all he could murmur. "Bramblekit."

"Bramblekit?" she asked. "Skykit, are you ok?"

Skykit shivered. "I saw Bramblekit. Then I forgot where I was," he muttered.

Skykit shivered again, and moved closer to the safety of Snowbelly.

Skykit's breathing slowed, and he stopped shaking. He slowly closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
