She trotted into the medicine den, fur gleaming.

Riverkit smiled at her, following her more slowly. He looked like he was in a daydream.

"Hey Riverkit. Hey Deadgaze" she smiled, rolling onto her belly and standing, shaking the dust out of her fur.

"hi, leafgaze! Have you told miststar yet?" the excited young cat twittered. (I just now realized that deadgaze and leafgaze both end with "gaze")

"H-hi," Riverkit murmured dreamily to Leafgaze. He wasn't really paying attention to what was happening.

Deadgaze wondered if he was okay.

"I'm going to talk to her tonight. She's pretty preoccupied with the new cat. Riverkit, are you alright?"

"hi, leafgaze! Have you told miststar yet?" the excited young cat twittered. (I just now realized that deadgaze and leafgaze both end with "gaze")

(Maybe it's because they both watch over the clan)

"I'm going to talk to her tonight. She's pretty preoccupied with the new cat. Riverkit, are you alright?"

"What? Yeah, fine! the heat and stuff, you know, and kinda excited to be made an apprentice," he said quickly.

He smiled respectfully at her, pressing himself against Deadkit.
