my chicken is about 8 weeks old and she is currently on her own she recently lost her friend and is really attach to me now and every time i leave her sight she starts pacing and chirping really loud kinda sounds like shes crying can that cause stress?

Definitely. Chickens need a flock, hopefully you have plans to get another chicken soon.

I only have two chickens and when either of them is out of sight of the other they freak out. I hope to add another 2 this fall, but I need to build my covered run first. Craigslist is a great place to find chickens, there are also a few threads on here. Good luck.
