I have a 2 1/2 year old nigi dwarf female. She was bred about 1 month ago, so we are hopefully expecting babies around Halloween. My goat "Clover" does not like to be caught and have her hooves trimmed. I have worked and worked with her, but she will eat from my hand and if I make any sudden movements she will jump back. Long story short.. they were supposed to be hand raised, NOPE, they were wilder than March hairs. We have tamed them a lot. She calms down once she realized she is caught and does fine with the nail trimming, it is just the initial "catching" her that freaks her out. I do not want to stress her to the point of her losing the babies, but she is limping on a leg and I need to check for a rock or a bruise.
Any advice would be great! Thanks

Lure her into a stall with a pan of feed. Set the pan next to the wall, so that she is between you and the wall and while she's distracted, push her against the wall.

It's MUCH easier to pin them than to try and grab them.
I handle full sized Dorpers this way, and most of them weigh more than me
