Strombergs Hatchery...Good Vibes

I got 27 chicks from Strombergs about 5 weeks ago. Ordered 25 but they threw in 2 surprise Cochins (not sure what type, yet). All except 2 made it through the first 3 days, they are healthy and eating everything in sight. It's been too cold to let them out of their warm coop, but once they all have back feathers (slow Cochins) and it's sunny, I will give them the run of their small yard. In the spring they will go free range on a 3 acre pasture. Ordered Wyandotts, Cochins, Ameracanas all hens, and a few roosters. Probably have more roosters but nobody is crowing yet. I would definitely re-order from them but they don't have what I want at the moment. A much better experience from Stromberg

than the disappointing one I had with MurryMcMurry 5 years ago.

Thanks for post. I have also used Stromberg's in the past successfully. But I've also had success with McMurray. I think so much has to do with how smoothly they go in transit from the hatchery to your P.O.

Actually the problem was not with the PO, I paid for hens and got 8 roosters out of an order of 25, and 7 had crossed beaks (most were not the roosters

. Very disappointing.
