Strong Yolk Taste

I have about thirty chickens of varius breeds and age. I get two huge brown eggs a day from who knows which hens. My question is, the yolks on these egges taste strong, i.e. slightly more bitter than I would prefer. Has anyone else had this experience and or know the reason? All the chickens have the same diet.

Could be specific to those particular birds I suppose. Are they free ranging? Maybe they are eating more green feed than the others or eating a particular type of plant that is contributing an off flavor.
