Stronger Hatch WHY

I have had two different hatches the last two weekends Both hatches from the same flock(s) Delawares and split Sussix's. #1 hatch I hatched in my stryofoam bators with still air in lock down. #2 was hatched in a sportsman bator by a friend. I can't believe the differance in the chicks!!!!!!!!!!! The second hatch is a lot stronger, more active and just better chicks. Any ideas on what is going on with the differance in the chicks.

My guess is that the sportsman has better ventilation.

Fresh air for growing bodies.
