When I should process a GLW roo. He is currently 17 weeks old, but has some kind of deformity in his hips, so they look as if they are dislocated. I wanted to wait until he was big enough to make processing worth it, but he has gotten to the point where he doesn't do much but sit and eat all day. He is definitely larger than the other roos of the same age, but I haven't tried weighing him yet. Should I try upping the protein for a week, then process, (they currently get 20%), wait until he is 20 weeks, or not worry about changing feed and process this weekend?

He goes outside each day to free range on his own accord, and he seems to have adjusted to his disability, I just hate watching the poor guy limp around.

Thanks!

You know those little cornish game hens that you get when you pay lots of money to eat at a banquet? Small is OK and sooner is better if he is hurting in any way.
