I read that before and believe that their conclusions were predetermined and not objective. I do not believe their claim of a lack of pecking order aggression is true. If they did not continuously observe the birds during the formation of the pecking order, they missed the aggression that goes on among all birds.

I have observed the lack of aggression in my own turkeys once the pecking order has been established and have no reason to believe their conclusions.
