Hi everyone!

My name is Kate, I'm in Ontario, Canada and I am studying up on keeping a few (maybe 4) chickens in our backyard! I have convinced my husband (after a lot of work) to build me a coop and we are just trying to figure out ventilation and such.

I stumbled upon this website while researching coops and man what a help! I can't wait to dive in!

Welcome to the wonderful world of chicken keeping! That is so great that you are studying up before you get your little ones. It really amazes me and saddens me when people get animals and don’t know how to take care of them. All it takes is a little bit of reading up and these days with the Internet there is so much information At everybody’s fingertips. Your chickens will bring you a lot of happiness!
