Stumped by Lavender Orpington

Definitely a crow. Doesn’t sound a thing like the egg song or the alarm call. Enough of a crow that I’m concerned my neighbors are going to complain to the town (roosters are banned).

Are you sure she's crowing and not practicing the egg song? or that its an alarm call?

hen, some of my lavenders started at 10 days ago, they hatched Feb 23, so only 5 months old here is a pic of some of mine the combs usually red at point of lay, the rooster is left front

Well, she started laying yesterday! She was also crowing this morning, so I guess she’s just a crowing hen!

well I guess they can't make you get rid of her, because after all, she is not a rooster, but you still have an alarm clock

Could you try a "no-crow" collar designed for roosters on her? Perhaps it would stop it. Just put it on before bed and take it off after early morning?
