Hey everyone! I picked these chicks up this weekend, so far out of the six I’ve narrowed down I have:
1 Australorp
2 Rhode Island Red OR Easter Egger
1 Buff Orpington (who I strongly think is a rooster)

Last two I can’t figure out is this brown/black pattern pullet (who’s pretty!) & then the grey chick that has a bit of brown, who looks like a little emu so that’s now it’s name 😂

**also will mention they are now on shavings and not puppy pads. Had to monitor which chick had bloody stool before adding shavings.

They look like mixed breeds too me. The Buff maybe the only pure one you have. Can you get a picture of each individual chick in better lighting? Maybe a better way to give a definite identification.

I can try later! They’re from a feed store who orders from a hatchery, they don’t sort out breeds by name for customers just keep them all in same pen so always a guessing game.

I’m not sure which hatchery, I’m going to guess Meyer Hatchery as that seems to be popular option around my area.
They’re family owned feed store. Not a chain store like Tractor Supply.
Most TSC stores use Hoover's Hatchery. There's a few that use a couple different hatcheries, but not sure any use Meyer's Hatchery. Meyer's Hatchery actually Labels the birds exactly, & what amount, ordered. Meyer's Birds are better quality.

What is the name of your local feed store? I maybe able to use their site to look at the hatchery they use.

Metcalf’s Trading Post but sorry they have no actual website, it’s a small town everyone is word of mouth when it comes to them. They get the chicks and place them all in the same box, you’d have to go in and request what chick breeds you want ordered before they make their purchase.

I’m going to guess maybe one chick I posted in question is a Black Sex Link judging by photos I’ve googled.

Oh, okay.
